Matie: Audit

Matie entered the house of the Black Godz as a vulnerable boy from the streets. He has never quite opened up about his past or his suffering, but his frailty and anxiety are evident on his face. Devin has never pushed too hard, and he is not planning on starting now. The boy's well-being has been entrusted to him, and he knows that if he is not patient, Matie could easily break. Nothing would be worse than letting the boy out of the care of the Black Godz before he is ready. With them watching over him, he has the chance to start a new life. Without them, there is a chance he will revert to his old bad habits - everything that put him there in the first place. On some level, Matie understands all this. It is not at the forefront of his consciousness, but part of him gleans that eventually he will have to open up to the men who have taken such an intense interest in him. He is beginning to trust Devin, even though he is like him. But his past is holding him back.
